🧊 Puzzle Retreat — Terms of Service

These terms cover the Puzzle Retreat web player and Discord activity operated by The Voxel Agents ("we", "us") at puzzleretreat.com and inside Discord. By playing, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, simply don't use the game.

1. The service

Puzzle Retreat is a free puzzle game. The web player and Discord activity let you play daily puzzles and puzzles shared by link. No account with us is required, no purchases are offered, and no fee is charged.

2. Discord

When you play inside Discord, your use of Discord itself is governed by Discord's own Terms of Service. If you choose to authorize the activity, we receive your Discord username, display name, and avatar so the game can greet you and keep your solve history. You can play without authorizing; progress is then stored only on your device. You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement to use the activity.

3. Your data

We keep things minimal: solve progress is stored in your browser's local storage, and if you authorize on Discord, your basic Discord identity (id, username, avatar) is used to key that progress. We don't sell data, run ads, or use tracking beyond what's needed to serve the game. Clearing your browser storage removes local progress.

4. Intellectual property

Puzzle Retreat, its puzzles, artwork, and name are the property of The Voxel Agents. You may play the game and share links to puzzles; you may not resell the game, misrepresent it as your own, or use our name or assets to imply endorsement without permission.

5. Fair play & acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no attempts to disrupt it, overload it, probe it for vulnerabilities, or interfere with other players' use of it.

6. Availability & warranty

The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may change, pause, or discontinue the game (or any daily puzzle schedule) at any time without notice. Solve streaks and progress may be lost — for example if browser storage is cleared — and we can't guarantee their preservation.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Voxel Agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the game. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above will change when we do. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
